We leave Friday for LCBR. How was visibilty Knucklebusted? Think there will be any lingering effects from Nate?
You should see no lingering effects from Nate by the time you get there. Little Cayman is a very flat island, and any storm related runoff won't carry the same sediment load like it would on islands with more topography. Visibility in the Marine Park on the north side is typically driven more by wind direction and sea state and clears quickly when the seas subside and currents die down. As long as your winds stay more easterly or southeasterly, and around 5-10 knots (or at least less than 15), you typically will have good vis throughout the marine park. When you start getting more NE winds or easterly around 15+, it brings a longshore current from the east that tends to cloud up the water in the Jackson's Bight section of the park. NE or north winds also generate seas that will churn up the shallows in the rest of the marine park and start to degrade visibility a bit.
