It is an unrelated problem. Many stuff breaks on planes on a daily basis, just like with any mechanical form of transportation.

The message below was posted on TripAdvisor today and it caught my eye because we also fly out of Chicago.

I know that United does offer some nonstop flights from ORD to GCM from November through June or July.


"I just called Cayman Air customer service and they sounded pessimistic that they would ever resume flights out of Chicago. Seemed to suggest that flights are being re-routed out of Denver. That would surprise me given how popular the direct flights from O'Hare are with Midwesterners"
