Big tip: To improve the quality you get from your camera, be certain to use underwater somewhere, in a pool perhaps, to know how to use it very well. Firstly, because you want good shots to start as early in the trip as possible but most importantly, you want to know if you need to make some little adjustment or modification to your housing. As the whale shark is going by (because your camera isn't working), you don't want to be fudging around with the camera or missing the shot. Since this will be last one for a while...been there, done that.
