Cool, unfortunately ill already be back in Texas by then... Let me know if your going to be that far out during the week though

Hit me up closer to time, I'll never remember this far in advance. I'd be up for a beach dive or two almost certainly. The Oriskany is a great dive, but $$$.

I'll do that. I'll get in contact with you in a couple months.

If you don't know the area, the bridge doesn't help at all with location. If you know the area, you likely know the spring regardless of this post. I didn't use a common name for the spring, diver, local, or otherwise :)

Nothing in this post gives away location, aside that its within a days drive from Cave Adventurers.
I meant that you used the name of another report which mentions the nearest city. Once you find the bridges near that and other clues from your report, you can get pretty close. But Im a master internet slueth, moo ha ha!

I figured out the general vicinity where Paul's shrimpboat is, in a similar fashion :)

It isn't enough to find a hole in the bottom of the river. Pretty close(which likely is giving someone AWHOLE LOT of credit) isn't gonna get you a cave dive, just a drift down the river - LOL.

Nice report. I like exploring! We too find big catfish in the remote caves we dive. The Lake Apopka Spring cave had one large cat (not as big as your 30lb fish but big. CroakerHole in Little Lake George had a nice big one that got spooked and crashed all around the cave and into several divers. Probably the lights spooked him. Never heard of a big cat chewing on the cave line? That's a new one for me. Cheers.

It was a flathead, apparently they can grow upwards of 100lbs and there used to be residents closer to those number in the cave. They just haven't been spotted in awhile, apparently they dwarfed the 30lber we had onsite.

I read the Apopka Spring Cave report(I'm guessing it was yours?) on CDF, excellent report. Seemed like alot of fun :)
