Rick Murchison:
And your point is? It only takes one.
My point is that layering a whole bunch of extra BS requirements on real cave divers just punishes the innocent. Any jerk that'll deface a cave is still a jerk that'll deface a cave.
Rick

Point is that somebody wanting to enter a dry cave to deface it requires no special training versus cave diving. Hence to deface a water filled cave will require probably an OW cert. I think everybody considers grafitti in the cavern zone more likely do to a noncave diver, but what about marks ie name written on the floor, line arrow drawn with silt on the wall etc etc around 1000' back or more,we know that isn't an OW diver. The reality of it,is a couple of people screwing up will mess it up for all of us,that is a reality in many endeavors. And with all things if we can't fix the problem ourselves, then somebody will do it for us,and we won't like it.

.

I very much disagree that a cave diver should be required to have dry cave experience. I have no interest in dry caves and never will.

Johnny

Johnny, somehow I get a vision of your new t-shirt LOL LOL

Sad, One reason i took up diving was to get an escape from our so called civilization, now it seems I haven't gone far enough. IMHO whoever did it should have their asses kicked up to their shoulders.
