Hey,

I'm from VA but I want to go to Florida for underwater cave diving. If I am not certified in scuba diving. Is there any place I can go to have a guided tour and have them provide me with equipment in either VA or FL?

Thanks!!

why do you want to dive in a cave if you're not even cert in scuba? that type of environment is very unforgiving and dangerous sometimes even if you are properly prepared. You can do a discover scuba in open water but there is NO ONE who would (or should) take a non certified diver (let alone not cave certified) in an overhead environment.

NO!!!!!!!!!

NO!!!!!!!!!

Before I was certified, I made two trips to Mexico, and there participated in guided "CAVERN" tours in the cenotes. You can find guided "CAVERN" tours by certified cave instructors of some of the easier cenotes such as Dos Ojos.

I know of no one anywhere in the world that advertises or performs guided "CAVE" tours in an underwater cave for those who are not certified or under the direct instruction and supervision of a certified cave instructor participating in active training.

there is a reason why this sign is posted at many cave/cavern entrances...

You really need to ask this question over on The Deco Stop message board. That's where alot of cave divers and instructors hang out. They'll give you a straight up answer.

"cave" + "not certified in scuba diving" = "insane"

They do Cavern tours all the time in Mexico for OW certified divers, but the OP asked about Florida. OP is also not even certified so I doubt that even he/she could get a tour in Mexico. I personally think that going into overhead without being trained for it is crazy.

Don't ask this question over there unless you have thick skin. Unlike here, we can tell you how we really feel over there.

All that was missing was wanting to do a couple hours in the caves, solo, at 250 ft on air using AL80's :rofl3:
