I recently took an Intro. Cave/Cavern course in Cozumel and dove cenotes (Dos Ojos) and some limited cave penetration.

I would like to get recommendations in other locations for this type of diving (as well as ocean diving if possible). I hear that the Dominican Republic is known for caverns but would like to hear some feedback from anyone who's there or elsewhere in the Caribbean or Central America.

It's so hard to decide what's b.s. and what's not b.s.. From my experience Travel companies and tourist boards tend to exaggerate the benefits or worthiness of their respective destinations.

Thanks,

Sy

Mexico is well set up to address all levels of diving because they have turned it into a tourism site. You'll find that cave diving is secondary at other places, and you may find access at the intro level difficult. Cuba is a place to consider.
