The conditions were as good as they get at Cat today. Winds out of the west, about 20' of vis, no current, and no waves (i.e. no mixing bowl). We finned due east reaching "the moon" at 83' of water (high tide) then returned west to the exit. Came across a large school of either Cod or Pollack. This is without question my favorite shore dive site. Picture attached....

Ah....great 40 minute dive.

Nice pic. No pic of the moon ?

I don't mind the hike as much as the exit after the tides has gone. Las time we went there there was a tiny swell coming in just enough to make ya head to Folley.
What was the water temps ?

Yes, one of the best sites! Thanks for the report, I'm still shocked it was that nice today! Hopefully tomorrow will be just as nice.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be major shrinkage, but I have yet to hit my 'limit' as far as cold goes. Although when we hit 50' it was quite a difference with the coldness factor. I may have to break out the ice cap!:11: I also will be adding a 1/2 mil, not sure that will make much of a difference. We shall see! If I could just get the zipper on that Bare vest to stay up on my face, I'd be all set - lots of leakage right into my head/neck - that was no good.

Sounds like you had a great day. Ive checked out that site a few times. Getting down to the water looks pretty hard. I'll need some big strong guy to help me.:10:
