Hey Mr. X,

Was that Remember to smoke a cigarette after the dive or not to smoke after the dive?

Now I would love to smoke a cig afterwards but my diving instructor wouldn't let me have a cup of coffee or a can of coke on dive day much less a cigarette.

She was pretty tough LOL

Ow. I like your instructor. Remember to walk into town after the dive and go Big Olafs - next to Antonios. It's the perfect treat after a dive. My favorite - a Triple Olaf ice cream with the works. Have the best time in Catalina. X

OMG!! We had a Big Olaf's across the street from my high school in the 80's, but they went under....maybe they moved to Catalina????? With the HUGE waffle cones, right??? :05:

Good thing about MissyP is she has thoughtfully elected to adorn her body in "warning coloration" similar to that employed by nudibranchs. Hers is usually bright pink in color, but occasionally there are hints of purple! Be forewarned!!

hardee har har Dr Bill. :smileysto If I had a witty comeback, I'd place it here. lol.

Back on topic, yup- those urchins are a real pita. I got a few urchin pokes through my wetsuit (back in the olden days when I was diving wet)... of course I was buoyancy challenged back then, as a newbie diver.. lol.
I don't remember if anyone mentioned sarcastic fringeheads in this thread, but from what I understand they will bite if you get too close to them.
Sea lions, although they can be quite amusing, can also be tempermental at times so just keep an eye on them.

And sea lions carry diseases which are transmissible to humans.

At a loss for words, my dear Missy? I can hardly believe it!

If you have frozen peas the Garibaldi and the Calico Bass will straight up assult you.

Ever see Piranhas in one of those nature documentaries? I'd bet on the Garibaldi in a fight over frozen peas! ;)
