I haven't been back to Casino Point in a while. Are they now letting divers use the benches again? Glad you guys had a great weekend.

Its beautiful. Lots of new paving at the Point, new landscaping, flags atop the building now - lovely.

Descanso has been through a big face lift, lots of changes in town, etc.

Sadly - Art's is gone. My embroidery guy. I'll miss him most.

Fantastic report and photos, as usual. :D Glad to hear the kelp is still full and growing this late in season. When we were diving around Catalina last year over Labor Day the kelp was very sparse, but water was very warm last year. Howdy to Claudette, too.

Between 7 or 8 lockers a day for two days, plus mistakes ("is what we need in locker 934 or 937....?") plus the laundromat for revitalizing the fuzzy stuff, it gets a little nuts.

The Laundromat is usually my source of quarters. Walk a $20 in there and we're pretty close to fine. But the change machine was out of order this weekend. OY. Had to walk up stairs to the Metropole lobby to get quarters.

In a baggie.

A pre-marked Ziplock. They had Ziplocks in the room behind the counter in the lobby that has pre-determined amounts counted out, and marked with a Sharpie.

We bought a $10 bag.

:)

Quarters.... Can't have enough on Catalina.

I haven't bought a $10 bag in looong time :)

Always fun to share your enthusiasm and wit, Ken and Claudette.

The only gripe I have is that you have dived BCR before I have. You'd think in 41 years I would have slipped past, but...

Its a very, very short scoot out there. We'll do a tow out in the Fall when we can do it all 'proper'...

You'd love it. SO much to see. Just amazing. Its the only thing for miles North, East and West - so there is a lot going on.

At 120 FSW (on a low tide), don't plan on being there long.

:D
