In case anyone is interested, I just received today my Casio G-Shock Frogman Final Edition. You can see the watch here:

Amazon.com: G-Shock Men's Watches G-Shock Frogman GW-200Z-1DR - WW: Watches

I wasn't sure how it would like on the wrist, but it's very, very handsome. Quite the "manly" watch :p One of the Amazon reviewers talks about being concerned with the look of the yellow and I was, too, but it's very well done in person. Again, it's a great looking watch - much better in person than in the pictures.

Though it's large, it's wearing quite comfortably and I'm very, very happy with the purchase. In fact, I was thinking of getting a second one b/c the new Frogman is 2x the price.

Obviously haven't dived with it, but, with Casio's reputation for toughness and the watch's solar power, I'm definitely hoping that I'll be wearing this watch for years to come.

If anyone's looking for a dive watch, I'd HIGHLY recommend this one.

Yeah, the cheaper G shocks are in the $100 range. $200 buys you "fancy" designs and more bells and whistles. The "high end" G shocks cost around $300, but these usually are either new releases, limited editions, or super duper fancy (like the pathfinder or frogman).

For $325 though, this Frogman is really keen to me. I've been looking for a watch for a LONG TIME and am pretty thrilled with this purchase; I was debating everything from G-shocks to Rolexes. This G-shock is much better than I had hoped. Yes, I could have gotten a more complete dive watch for the price (e.g., Atom/Suunto/Mares), but it wouldn't have been as aesthetically pleasing nor would it have the solar feature (which was a very, very, very big plus to me).

I had narrowed my choices to either this watch or a dedicated dive watch like the Atom 3 (or OC1 Pioneer b/c it looks better), but ultimately decided to go with the cheaper and what I think is the more daily-wear friendly (aesthetically, lighter, solar, g-shock tough) watch.

p.s., plus I think I'm too abusive for nice watches, so I was hesitant to drop $1000+ on something that I expecting to take a beating.

No depth gauge, as far as I can tell? But it does apparently (automatically?) measure dive time, so there's some kind of pressure or water sensor.

So you'd still need a depth gauge as a backup to a computer.
