Just did two dives there. Vis has improved a bit to 20' (from 12' last Sunday) although I had the park to myself on my first dive so there were no classes stirring things up. Algal bloom and particulates are the cause. Some surge which affects incoming traffic at low tide. Otherwise a fair day there, but not exemplary.

I met you there yesterday,I walked up to you and asked about the vis and conditions,i wore a maroon t shirt ,i also hit you up about solo diving at catalina if they allowed it. I had seen your pic on the board and it didnt occur to me who you were until i was ready to get in the water but you were speaking to some one on a golf cart.anyway maybe i will see you there again sometime

Saintsfan- Yes I remember. If it was a latina in the golf cart, it was my housemate Iris who often comes down to see if I need a ride (it's a long haul with the cart up the hill to my home).

Yep, Scuba_star, I was under quite a bit this weekend. Conditions were a little better than I expected. Lots of bat rays and their feeding depressions in the sand- really stirred up the north end of the park yesterday afternoon when I went out to the old swim platform.

Been in the park a zillion times and this is STILL the only object in there I can't bee-line to. If Bill would stop moving it around, I could probably find it as easily as I find everything else in there...

Whoa, Ken, and I'm shocked, but I actually remember the platform above water...have I been here that long?????

I beelined to it this weekend but will readily admit to having trouble finding it on occasion, too. I usually go out to about 55 ft depth and head along that contour in its direction. Of course it helps to have reasonable vis!

Kelpmermaid... yes you (and I) have.
