Well I don't know about Al - but I had a HUGE bottle that made the whole device feel like something that the Marquis de Sade would be proud of. The giant hoses sucked - very restrictive. Going upright was like turning a fire hose (of air) on my mouth. Buoyancy control - hey what? But I can see the potential. Like 3 hour dives. Critters don't spook as easily and it is a lot quieter.

I dove the '63 and it didn't seem that bad once I was in the water... :)

And yeah, I know what you mean about going upright (or upside down!).

It did take a bit of getting used to, but after that was kinda cool. :)

And yeah the lack of breath-based buoyancy control does take some getting used to.

Try being neutral then clearing your mask... :D
