Hey how did you find out about the goatpath?

How did I find out about a site at Ft Wetherill..... gee...... hard to remember which of the 10,000 people that dive there told me about it first..... :D

I just watched the video again now I got my codecs re-installed. The wreck is the Emily Cohen or Amelia Cohen. A coal schooner that went down in the fog and was never heard from again with crew of 5 missing. Looks like they may be having fun with us and bless em for that as it was a deep dive and its nice to see two hard core divers with a good sense of humor.

I wouldnt put it past One-Flipper to be pulling our legs as I cant find any reference to a coal schooner wreck off Watch Hill except the one that collided with the Larchmount and the Metis.

I don't want to disclose anymore info as they may have been diving near one of my secret spots (I hope they didn't find it).

There were many, many Coal Schooners Barges that went down in that area. Get a copy of Bruce Berman's Encyclopedia of American Shipwrecks among other sources.

Wow thanks Sean I am in need of new readin materials. Thats sounds like an excellent book to browse thru. If only I could find the names of all the coal schooners wrecked with crew missing, I could solve RI's theory.

Although Im not crazy about Bruce Berman as I hear rumors he is composing a book called Bruce Berman's Encyclopedia of ScubaSarus's Secret Dive Spots. There goes my secret spots. I hear RIOceanographer has already ordered and reserved the first copy.

You must have been really irked when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on your secret moon..... :D

Billy and secret wrecks, that is like saying Billy and cigars – they just go together.

Many years ago I was out with Bill Hanson (Billy’s mate back in the late 70’s) and came up on one of Billy’s old boats (which for the life of me I can’t recall the names of right now, we just called it the "Lead Sled” or the “Leakfish” wood hull with a lot of fiberglass) and as soon as Billy saw us he grabbed a fishing pole and when we came beside him, Billy just said they were fishing.

I replied “Do you always fish in a wet Unisuit and have your divers in gear?” At which point Bill Hanson also noted that he had been the mate on the boat when that particular wreck was found.

To Billy, the U-boat is a secret wreck.
