How many of you use a capillary depth gauge (such as the one in the attached picture) as a backup - or a primary - depth gauge?

Just wondering the pros and cons of doing such a thing.

Or, general info on capillary depth gauges.

I carry a back up depth gauge in the form of a Citizen HyperAqualand. However, it's just coincidence that I carry one. I do carry a backup SPG (Mares Mission Compact) in addition to my Vytec. With a watch, compass, wrist slate, and Vytec, I'm running out of wrist room. It would be pretty necessary assuming a deco dive, but if you are in NDL, you could probably guestimate your safety stops if you absolutely had no other choice...

I do like the idea of carrying gear on my wrists if possible, rather than connected via hose. I'm not DIR by any means, but I like to keep gear as streamlined as possible.
