In addition to what everyone has said, here's a bit of motivation and advice!

YouTube - NAVY SEALS BUDS TRAINING Hellweek_1
A cold face is the least of your problems!

Make sure everything they "promise" you in written in stone and you qualify fully in all aspects of what you desire to do.

i wish you the best in your journey!

I agree with the suggestions made.

If you make it into BUD/S training, you'll get cured of cold water shock.;) Remember, for Navy SEALs, the diving isn't glamorous. It's just one vehicle or tool to get the job done.

I’d like to add that you need to hide your diving cards and keep your mouth shut about being a diver. If the instructors find out you’re a diver already your life may very well become a living hell even worse that it’s going to be already.

There are three ways to dive. The right way, the wrong way and the Navy way. I will guarantee you will not fit into the first two no matter how well you think you do.

Another thing is to get used to the cold. You will spend several months in training and “THE WATER IS NEVER COLD!” There may be ice floating on the surface and you don’t have a nice toasty suit on for protection but you will never get cold. If you think you’re cold the instructors will comfort you by telling you that you aren’t.

Practice getting by with little or no sleep for days on end and still being able to function in that toasty warm tropical water with the ice floating on it.

Good luck, DO YOUR RESEARCH and I hope you can fulfill your dream. Just remember you only think they are trying to kill you.:eyebrow: And there is no I in TEAM.
