I am planning of buying a strobe.
The problem is that I am a total newbie regarding it.
I thought about using this adaptor http://www.heinrichsweikamp.net/blitz/indexe.htm and buy a sea sea ys60 or 120...here starts the problems.

Which type of strobe I have to search? there are many models of ys60 ( ttlduo , auto..)?
How it will work with the preflash function of a canon a95?
Is there a way to work in ttl? so I 'll be able to shoot without tables?
Can I change mode on the fly, ttl, manual, preflash, off ecc..?

The main problem is that I would like to have the strobe for my next trip on Maldives the next month so I don't have many time for learning .
I am in total confusion so please help me.

Looks like your photos are fine without a strobe. I was thinking about buying one a while back, but I decided my pictures were fine without it!! I do remember liking the D2000...maybe that by INON. Anyway, I thought it had all the functions needed for the A series. Good luck!!

I'd second Inon, though I would head for the 220 instead.

You may find that you are quite happy without an external strobe - there are certainly some lovely photos taken without it!

I have an A95 and have been looking at the same strobes. The thing is most of my dives are cold, darker waters and I don't get the same kind of crystal clear photos due to lack of light. I have the Canon housing for the A95. Anyone have the same camera and do the same type of cold diving with it where a strobe would be very beneficial?
