For years I have dove with the OMS Phantom 50 wt and loved it till I saw the side by side comparison underwater to the OMS Phantom HID 21 and the HID is clealy brighter in my opinion “UP CLOSE” there is not much difference between the 50 wt and the HID 21 but from a penetration stand point I feel that the HID has more punching power ( I dive in the Seattle area where visibility can be as low as 5 ft) so I feel that the HID 21 is a more complete light, besides the fact that the burn time on the HID 21 is 4 ½ hrs. On my old OMS I had to carry several batteries for multi dives in a day.

I just bought a used (freshwater only) DiveRite DLS off ebay for $215.00 with the charger and extra seals. I should have it in a couple days can't wait to dive it.
