I'll take your word for it, but it doesn't appear as tight as an 8 degree cannister that a buddy has.

Beam Angle: Fact & Fiction
Beam Comparison
remember that beam angle is subjective. Light and Motion reports beam angle as the true beam angle, not the hot spot. If your buddy has an 8* canister that has more power, a more focused hot spot, or less even of a corona, it is possible to appear to have a tighter beam
