Just received these today and wondering if I could use them for a temporary sidemount setup while I'm saving for a dedicated set.

One might be a Dacor Viper and the other one a Poseidon, but I'm unsure of the model.

Where did you get Dacor Viper from? As far as I am aware, and I'm pretty good with this, the Viper was the name of a 2nd stage that was paired with a "D" series 1st stage. With minor differences, that is the same as the current Mares Octo MV.

None of these appear to be a "D" series 1st stage, as far as I can tell from your photos.

Dacor Viper, Eagle, Fury, Trainer, and Classic (plus some variants on those names) were Italian made Mares items produced for a few years after they purchased Dacor, and are largely still able to be serviced with current Mares parts kits, assuming no major parts replacements.

That's what the guy that gave them to me said, but I think he was referring to another reg he had.

I only paid shipping for these so if they don't work out it's no big loss.

the poseidon also has metric ports which is really annoying because you need adapters for everything. That one IMO is good for inflating tires and what not, but with as cheap as first stages are, I wouldn't bother with it

Looks like the adapters are already attached. If it's old enough the LP and HP adapters are the same size. Without the Posiedon second it isn't much fun anyway.
