Hey,

A few years I got a plus marking when I hydro tested my old steel 72 so it could be filled 15% over the psi markings on the tank. Can a HP 100 that fills to 3500 get a + stamp when it gets hydro tested as well? I'm hearing yes and no...any info would be appreciated thanks.

It depends on whether your HP tank is a 3AA standard (the "old" HP tanks) or one of the special permit 3442 PSI tanks, which are much more common. The older 3AA tanks have a working pressure of 3180 so the additional 10% brought them to 3448 PSI. These tanks are very negatively buoyant.

The more common SP tanks (like worthington and faber FX) do not get the plus rating.

Correction in red.

Hopes you don't need the extra air, but it's there.
