Nearly all the meat sold in Restaurants here is imported from Cisco in Miami, it is FDA, IRS, CIA approved.

If you want to bring it into the country all you have to do is get a permit.

If you want to buy meet imported from the US, House of Meats (French Harbour) or Alba Foods (West End) will have what you want. Including Prime Rib, Turkey, Ham, etc etc.

:rofl3::rofl3::rofl3::rofl3: Obtain paperwork in Honduras....

... we all should live so long.

Where would one get such a permit?

I'm thinking Tegucigalpa. It is the center of paperwork for all the galaxy.

That, or Moscow.

I had just thought I could bring in my bags. I brought 2 pounds of smoked salmon in one time. (ask Gay at Coconut Tree about Lazlo's Smoked Fish - she was the beneficiary) I'm headed to Roatan for Thanksgiving this year and we want a turkey - come to think of it...we want a whole Thanksgiving feast. I'm prepared to bring some things (pumpkin, pie crusts, cranberries, apples etc) but the turkey is a must.

Could I order it there ahead of time? Is there an e-mail for the grocery store where I could place an order for a 20 lb bird?

Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday and I won't do without! :)

Thanks for any information.

It's funny how we're all different... When I go on an exotic vacation, I want to get away from what I know at home. Not bring it with me! :D I try to have as much contact with local cultures as possible. Also, I sure wouldn't risk crossing an international border whith anything forbiden ( Turkey!:rofl3: ), especially to countries where human rights are reputed to not always be fully respected...:shakehead

Hey, but to each their own! And if Turkey is what you want... Good luck!!:coffee:

Cheers!
