Sounds crazy, I know but my wife and I are discussing getting the Garmin Descent MK2i to replace the Suunto Eon Core. My question is this: will the Descent MK2i connect to the Eon Core tank pod or is it a proprietary transmitter for the Garmin? If it does, that's about $400 each we can save. Thank you for the input!!

The Garmin Mk2i only works with the Garmin T1 transmitter. It will not work with any other pod.
