Agreed with not starting in sidemount. Im new to the tech scene and have dove a Nomad with lp85s. While in a demo type situation like what I was in, it was great, but I would not feel comfortable doing a more complex dive until I had the other aspects of the technical nature of the dive down to an art. As me mentioned, its a significant task load, not to mention there are no real standards in place as far as gear configuration etc... Plus not many training agencies or instructors will teach basic classes in sidemount.
