can I get spring straps for this fin type?

I've got a pair of these Apollo Prestige fins. They have this screwy "accordion" connecting the buckle to the main body. I've been looking at photos of various commercial spring straps (I'm too dumb to make my own) and am unsure if any are compatible. I really liked those Manta's too... What if I cut off the accordion and directly mount the spring straps to the main body, or is there a spring strap with a clip that can go where the plastic one is?

HELP!!! My fin straps are five years old and can't take much more of this!

You can just add the springs to the buckle itself. These were done on a set of Mares Plana Avanti fins but the same thing should work on yours.

Some care is needed in prying out the pin but once it's out it is easy to get back together. Mc Master Car sells suitable 1/2 dia stainless steel fins, although they will need to be shortened to about 7-8 inches.
