In my ongoing step-by-step assimilation, I have been looking carefully at my Seaquest Raider. The entire wing assembly is removeable from the soft-pack harness. Is it possible to mount this wing assembly on a BP/harness? Has anyone tried? The Raider wing does not have continuous material between the "arms" of the air-bladder horseshoe. The wing is attached beneath the tanks by two webbing straps which intergrate into the back of the soft harness. I'm thinking it might wrap around a STA or something.

Any ideas or experiences would be very much appreciated.

Can you post a pic of it?

I don't have a camera at home to do it but I'll borrow one from the office, I'll try to post something on Tuesday.

I'm trying to show the photos of the wing here, bear with me

Lady Diver totally rules...Thanks for the technical help.

Here's the second shot showing the top attachment point (the straps fit through underneath the inflator here.

OK, looked at your pics. If you REALLY want to try this you could lay your wings out in the natural position, cut a 2 pieces of weight belt webbing (heavier the better) about 2 " too short to run all the way from one set of rings to the other. Hopefully it will be 11" apart center to center (top piece of material to bottom). Backplate holes are 11" center to center so you need to match those. take the two pieces of weight belt material to a shoe repair shop and have them sew on some straps that will allow you to attach to those rings on the wings. Burn some holes in the webbing to slip over the bolts (I use a soldering iron, others use a red hot nail). See pic.

If the two straps are not 11" apart you could sew a 3rd piece between them and burn a hole in that. See pic.

Here is the second pic.

PS - This will work but it won't be optimum. But in 41 years of diving I've dove with a lot worse stuff!

I have to ask why? I have a Raider and am happy with it. I don't have a need or a want to go to a BP/Wing at this time but would like to know how this turns out and what made you decide to go this way. Have you though about trying to intergrate the BP into the Raider.
