I've never bothered with them. The wing ends up where it needs to go automatically when you slip the tank bands over the tank. At most you'll need to give it a little tug to line it up exactly.

Not having the wing screwed on makes the post dive rinse a bit easier and more thorough as well.
 
Every second counts for me first on board finish fiddling then off to the marina cafe to take in the morning
Whilst the cacophony of other dribbling in fiddlers, suck oxygen and drown out the birds for the next hour
