I usually take my credit cards and cash underwater in a wet pouch. Does anyone know if I can get chip credit card completely wet?

I can not test the card out, i need it. :)

(Also, my rental car only has a electric key fob key, :-( )

Mine survived washing.

Bending will do more to damage it, methinks. There are Pelican boxes for such things that are waterproof.

Then again, if you take them into salt water, that is way more corrosive. If the chip corrodes, it is toast.

There is no reason the chip won't work once you dry it off. Until it corrodes. in about 3 hours.

Anything can go underwater.

When I travel I swim with my money clip in my shorts. I've had no issue with the chip not working during or after my trips.

Mine has and is very bent and still works.....it didnt get bent underwater...two seperate incidents but I used it this morning and it is still working. I have ordered another as im not sure how long it will work for.
