Most of all I hope his sight is ok.

Think you can track down the origin of this device? Not something current military should be dropping in lakes off of military grounds.

I can't. I don't have the connections, but I have an idea how it got there.

Last year they did a big rennovation of the dive site where this was found and they built new piers and layed out some new stuff under water for the divers. It probably needed to be inspected to see if it was safe and my guess is that at some point they decided to use one of these recall things but forgot the pull the trigger before they threw it in the water and it didn't go off...

Does the LOT say PPF 87-1?

Recently one of vriends had an accident with the following object.
Does anyone know what this is, preferably with a link to a side.

Cant find anything useful on either ST-1 or 87-1 on google..
PPF should be the abbreviation of the manufacturer though. Could get you closer to what specific model it is/was..

Yeah I thought that too but PPF gave me 2 million results to sift though and I couldn't think of any company names to try.

Yeah.. LOT PPF 87-1 didnt give much of use either, PPF ST-1 gave lawnmover manuals in croatian :p
Unfortunately I dont have access to the manufacturer listings anymore since Ive retired from being shot at and blowing crap up :p

In fact I stood next to him when it happened and we am very curious to know what this thing exactly is.
Maybe someone has found a website with a description of this part, I am doing this
for the last week but could not come any further.

Please help.

P.S. The person, one of our instructors, went home on monday and indeed he is now missing the last part of his small finger of his left hand.
For the rest we will have to wait and see, luckely he went to a hospital where they are specialized in plastic surgery for hands!
(Dijkzicht, Rotterdam)

Also the victim really wants to know what the hell that this is, what it is and how it came there.
