Can an Oceanic OCibe put in a holder?

I am thinking of updating my Oceanic VT3 to an OCi.
The VT3 used to slide around my arm so I removed the band and put it in a puck holder with small bungee cord. Love that setup as it flexes as the wetsuit compresses at depth and stays in place.

Can I do the same with the OCi? I plan to wear it over a 3 or 5 mm wetsuit, depending on the temperature.
