Cybordolphin,
I have seen them worn on the wrist. There are wrist "boots" available, although I'm not sure who the manufacturer is. (Oceanic?, Aeris?, some generic brand?) The couple that I've seen look like a "hose mount" boot with built in wrist straps instead of the hose attachment device.
One thing to consider, based on my few observations of this set up: the "profile" of the wrist setup for the DP2 looked significantly higher than that many other computers (uwatec, for example).
Hope this helps, and that someone else can fill in the rest of the details.
Good luck,
Mike

Thanks... now I need to find out where to go for the parts needed.

I really just want to attach using a bungie.. if it is not too fragile.
Hopefully I wont need an adaptor for that?

It looks like it is going to be a bugger gettin this thing out of its console! I have the BIG console with the compass included.
Any secrets to getting this thing out of the console without breaking it?

Thanks again!

DiversDiscount has the wrist boot....

Ordered one. Hope I Don't need it and can just attache a bungie.

Now...
Anyone tell me how to get this thing out of its boot? Is there a trick to it? Seems to be in there damn near permanent.

Thanks

Ok...
I got it. You have to get a screwdriver (flathead) under it without prying. Then pull back the boot around the edges a little at a time until the module begins to creep up the screwdriver.

There is no place to attach a bungee... so it looks like the wrist boot will have to do.

Cybordolphin,
That's the way to get it out of the console boot.
Nice and easy with the blade, and the comp. just "rides on out".
I have a Data Plus, now deceased, which I used in a console and wth a hose mount, and if the DP2 is physically similar "under the boot" (just a plastic cylinder), you're right, there is really no place to connect a bungee. Maybe some of the more creative "gear adaptation engineers" have a suggestion.

Good luck with the wrist mount, let us know how it works out.
Mike

I went ahead and ordered the wrist boot... will see how that does.

I would rather bungie it.... as I am pretty sure that wrist boot... could come apart... and.... bye bye.

I'll mess with it and see what I can rig.

I took my wrist boot, cut off the strap, and drilled holes in it for my bungie...

I can send a pic if you like.

Well I got my Genesis boot from DiverDiscount.... but the computer flops all around in the boot.

Does not have a snug fit at all. IT looks like it will eventually just fall right out.

The only way I could make this boot fit would be to wrap a ton of
duct tape around the outside edge of the computer. They advertised this as a sure fit for the Data Plus 2. Not even close.

soooo... if anyone knows where I can pick up a wrist boot for the Data Plus 2.... I'd appreciate finding out where you purchased it.

Thanks.
