Were you actually able to find a bit large enough for that dome port, or did you have to cut it out some other way, router, etc? What about the tap for the dome port threads?

Those wings that the handles are mounted onto, are they screwed into the housing or just glued?

I started out by chain drilling 1/4 inch holes around the edge of the cutout. Once the hole was rough cut I used a rotery file in my drill press to enlarge the hole until the port fit. The port I have uses three hold down clamps to secure it. There is an O-ring to seal it but I added some clear silicone just to make sure.

The wing is made of PVC and is just glued on with PVC glue.
