The Santa Monica Baykeeper has a kelp restoration and monitoring project and volunteers are needed to reforest the degraded parts of Santa Monica Bay. We have lost roughly 90% of the canopy cover of what has historically grown in our local waters. This is due to overfishing, pollution, El Nino, and more.

Participants learn scientific diving techniques, local ecology, and species identification. You can get your AAUS (Amercian Academy of Underwater Scientists) certification through us also.

Free Boat Dives and Free Air Fills!!!

For More information, please visit Santa Monica Baykeeper and contact Brian Meux at 310-305-9645 ext 7, or bmeux@smbaykeeper.org
