You would probably really enjoy a day of diving from the shore at the Casino Point Dive park. (The fish are very used to people, and the snorklers feed them to build interest... good for photos)NWGratefulDiver:- Need a dive plan for Sunday ... there's a possibility for a second day of boat diving, but I haven't made that decision yet. Figured I'd check in with y'all and get some ideas first.
Saturday night you move your dive gear off the boat and cab it over to the Point and stow the heavy stuff in lockers. (Self-service. 75 cents per locker. Must have quarters) Head to the hotel for showers and dinner and a relaxed night. Sunday AM you pack up and take your stuff with you to the Point. (Walk or cab depending on how stuff-intensive you are ) All your dive gear except your exposure suits and camera(s) are already in the lockers at the point.
Set up, get tanks (if you brought 'em) filled at 0800 at the fill station at the point. Dive and then eat at the Dockside cafe (or walk to town for b'fast/lunch.)
Dive again and eat again. Last fills at 4PM. Dive again... and then pack up. You can cab your stuff to the Express dock, or send it with the sherpas of Catalina Baggage service. (They truck it over and you get it from their lock-up before boarding your boat home.) Then you're travellin' light into Avalon for time with drinks or food before your boat home.
It's a thought. Diving the park is really fun. So is another day of boat diving with ScubaLuv. You can't go wrong. Check the stickies in our forum for more info, or PM me for more (more??!?!!:11: ) details on having fun at the Dive Park. IF you post that you'll be there diving for a day, I bet you'll have company!!
Diving the favorite spot with Robb on Monday??? Oh, you lucky dogs!!!!
California Dreamin'.... comes true.
