The most reasonable solution would probably be replacing the RIBs with larger ones so the gear could be left there for the week.

What was the luggage storage situation on board? Do the bunks have storage underneath? I was trying to decide if I should bring duffles or a roller.

Also, was there an evac drill conducted at any time?

We stored bags under the bed. We had 4 total, and the little ones went inside the big ones.

Yes, we did the evac drill.

This boat's entire crew looks like it turned over as well. Too bad, they did a great job. I am certain the replacement crew is awesome though.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully the chef is still with them (Brad)...sounds like he does a great job.

Anytime. The diving starts out on the very easy side and grows to slightly more advanced. We dove in rain / fog the final days 2 dives.

our chef was sonia, and she and i had the most amazing conversation (all in spanish)... turns out her grandparents (and mine) emigrated from Mallorca to Cuba around the same time as my moms family.... and they were lucky enough to get out before things got too difficult when Cassto took over.

If you get to the island early, take the ferry to Jost Van Dyke - hit BOTH soggy dollar and Foxys. We missed out on Foxys and im still kicking myself.

I don't mind if the diving starts out on the easier side, and then progresses. I'm going with my son (27), who just got certified last year, and it's a joy for me just to blow bubbles with him. Have 2 other diving buddies going with us as well.

Thanks for the tip on making the ferry trip to Jost Van Dyke. We are arriving on the Wednesday before departure, and have a house rented relatively near the ferry terminal (Long Bay). Looks like a fun day trip!

It definitely is... head to the west end ferry landing to go to jost. theres a scenic overlook before u get to soggy dollar - dont miss getting a pic - its unreal:

Also, dont bother taking a tour to the baths - the aggressor will take you there.

Theres a car rental right by the aggressor - you'd be able to drop the car off and walk to the boat. I think it was Aarons rentals.

Also, we got out whiskey and rum @ Riteway, which is on the road to the west end ferry.

Enjoy the trip! and expect all hands expecting tips!

My buddy arranged the car, and I'm leaving him in charge...hahahaha. Good call on the Riteway for provisions, I'm taking notes! It looks like the Riteway Pasea Estate is the biggest one on the island, and is on the way from the airport.

Patricia's Beach Bar is supposed to a good spot on Smuggler's Bay, near where we are staying. I'm hoping for a few relaxing days on the beach before the liveaboard.

on your way back to the aggressor, i recommend not going back the way you got to the ferry landing, but instead follow the road all the way around
