Buying underwater camera

You can have flash control, raw storage and manual white balance on the SP350. This is the only current p & s that has all three and a hotshoe as far as I know. I haven't checked out the Fuji.

Do you have any experience with the SP350?

I ask because I am making a purchase this week and have considered the SP350.
I am concerned because all the reviews state the SP350 has a fairly long shutter lag. Nowhere can I find shutter lag info on the DC500 but it states almost none in the specs if using "Shark Mode".

The 8MP would be great and the RAW would even be better although the housing for the SP350 is good to only 130 FSW where the DC500 is good to 200 FSW.

I can get the DC500 for $340 or the DC350 with housing for around $400.

If you have a look/search, you will see a lot of contributions from LarryC on the 350 - he has one and has been very good about letting the rest of us know what's what with this choice!
