My husband and I have Aqualung Titans and they have served us very well.

However, if you are on a serious budget, I'd definitely look into regs where you can buy the parts to service them. Although I don't service my own regulators, I've studied how it's done, and it's not rocket science. The problem is that the major brands will not sell the parts kits for servicing to consumers (and it is not to any shop's advantage to send you to a class to become a regulator technician, as service is part of their profit). Yearly service isn't cheap.
