Yes, I do need the guages and maybe a compass. And a map. And an airplane and Jet A1. Hmm. I think I need to work. I've been bumming around for close to 3 weeks. Isn't it so bad I couldn't go and dive all that while waiting for the phone to ring so I can go earn that salary they keep paying me while I sit on my butt researching on how to spend it? >_<

Thank you very much for all the input. I will keep your suggestions in mind when it becomes worth it to get "the" bc. I will go find the gauges, borrow my friend's reg, get myself a simple light bc, and go diving. Soon...I hope.

Just one important reminders for the backplate boys, make it a habit to tighten the wing nut always before going into the water. I had one friend experience the horror of the STA and tank detaching from the plate at 60 feet.
