I don't see any reason to rush out and upgrade from my EM5 to the EM1 or EM5II at all from still U/W photography point of view. I seldom use the video feature U/W and if I wanted to use it extensively, I'd invest in a dedicated system. My main and almost exclusive focus with a camera is still u/w photography now.

My huge question is about the phase autofocus of the m1. It should theoretically make a c-autofocus just like on SLRs, so it can track focus as you move, as opposed to contrast autofocus.
A freind of mine uses a nikon full-frame, and is tired of the size and weigth when bringing it somewhere. He is considering the m5-II. But when he tried my m5 with the 60mm in c-af mode, he found that c-af is (as I told him) totally useless. Of course the m5-II is faster, but it still uses the same focus principle. It will continuously go in and out of focus as you change your distance to the subject slighty. Does the m1 indeed track focus in c-af like SLRs? In that case it should be a big advantage compared to the m5-II.

Yes, the M-1 uses phase detection along with contrast detection. C-AF performance is much better than other M43 systems, and probably pretty close to that of a consumer grade DSLR in the same price range.
