Yep, but don't you feel sorry for the poor comrade that had to use that as state of the art dive gear! Gee mine might be old gear but not from the stone age!

I seem to remember some Soviet re-breathers on e-bay last year, that would really
compliment that suit! I wonder if anyone can do a Soviet Seal's Certification in the states?
I just hope this stuff is bought for collections and NOT used!

Yeah I was browsing the other day and the ones I was were scarrier than this one. Then they had some soviet "rebreathers" that basically looked like the scba's we used in the Navy during fire fighting and to evac smoke filled compartments. Wouldn't work a bit in the water. Wonder if anyone did buy em actually thinking of using them.

There have been WAY too many deaths related to MODERN re-breathers.

I think it would be suicide to dive this stuff!

Speaking of nite dives what kinda light are you using? Or are you brave and go without or simply use glow sticks? I'm thinking of using one of my navy battle lanterns. There rated to 30ft but they've never been wet. Heavy as all get out so if you drop it it's gone.

Since I do not do many night dives and I'm not interested in spending a fortune to light up the horizon, I use these purchased locally. As my small backup, I use this.

Krobi built a DIY can light recently which may be an interesting project.

That's a nice looking lite he made. I see he wasn't forthcoming with the details on construction though. I don't want to flood the area with light either just want to see that killed bluegill coming out of the cabin cruiser before it takes a hunk out of my back side.

If your looking for a Jedi underwater lite saber, it would be a good project.

He used a cut down Mag lite with a 35w halogen blub, pvc pipe, latches,
water proof switch and re-chargeable battery pack.
The details on constructing these are on the diy forum.
I started one but other priorities stepped in.
