One of the shops "local" to me (30 miles away) is an H dealer. Occasionally I'll walk in, pull every bolt snap off the wall display, and go through them one at a time to find the best one or two. Drives the gives at the shop nuts...:rofl3:

I do that too
nothing worse than a crappy bolt snap

I don't have a decent local dive store so I rarely recommend using them. However, for bolt snaps sometimes you are better off going to a H dealer and picking out the few snaps you need since you can test them and make sure you get a good one. Nix has worked for me when I am ordering a few dozen at a time and the several that I have to toss because they are bad don't really affect the overall price. For bulk, online deals are worth it. For a few snaps, find a place where you can test before you buy.

We also find a few in each shipment that are defective. When we get a customer order for snaps, we work them pretty good before bagging to make sure that the customer does not get bummers. If interested, try this link............
