OK Marie. Explain the impact to us plebs please…
Everything coming into the country must be brokered and duty paid.

The de minimus (if it is declared value of less than $800) is no longer in effect. It used to be if it was declared to be less than $800 the shipment was exempt from duty.

Folks like Marie will become very very busy. Stuff coming into the country will get backed up.

Tangerine menace can't be gone soon enough, f that guy. Hopefully first EO issued by the next president is "This EO universally invalidates every EO issued Jan 2025-Jan 2029.

Skimming through this one, it's bloviating about "stopping flow of illicit drugs" but nothing in the EO referrences inspection or monitoring of what's actually in shipments, only that the fed gov gets some money for all those illicit drug shipments and whatever else is, in their words, flooding the border. 🙄

I am happy that **** and Shein are taking a hit though, maybe I'll stop seeing their ****** ads on every website eventually.

How it has been: you order $300 in custom drysuit undies from Seaskin in the UK. It would be duty free since it was under $800. Now you’ll pay duty. The specific amount is dependent on sever factors.

**** and Shein - which I call Shemu - shipped direct from China. The de minimis exemption for China went away in May.

Thankfully I don’t do small package clearances. The company I work for is too small.

@Marie13 reading Sec 3.c 1-3 is this saying that you could potentially (if not being tariffed on actual cost per ss b), have to pay $80-$200 flat tariff on something like a $0.40 o-ring (or whatever hypothetical dollar part you order)? If so that's f'cked.
