For those of you that don't already know: BTS is a consumer-desired show open to the public. Unlike DEMA, you don't need to be a "pro", LDS, manufacturer, or "know somebody."

Website: Beneath the Sea

Friday March 28th - Diving Science Symposium, Public Safety Divers Conference, Marine Careers Program
Saturday March 29th - Trade Show (9:00 - 5:00), Seminars (https://beneaththesea.us/documents/2025/seminar-schedule-saturday.pdf)
Sunday March 30 - Trade Show (9:30 - 4:30), Seminars (https://beneaththesea.us/documents/2025/seminar-schedule-sunday.pdf)

Exhibitors: BTS 2025 Floor Plan

At least a couple SBers will be giving seminars. I recognized @doctormike and @nadwidny on the schedule again but I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are others that I didn't reference to a username.

Commentary:
  • The thinning of equipment manufacturers and retailers seems to be continuing. :(.
  • Looks like Shearwater will not be there (despite the recent expansion in their entry-level offerings).
  • Most disturbingly, it seems no Piranha!
  • Travel and organizations are still well represented.

The trade show hours on Saturday end earlier than I expected. 5pm seems early. Do they expect everyone to be out the doors by 5pm ?

Sadly, it’s become mostly a travel show. The absence of Piranha is telling. I stay away from the “History of Long Island Wreck Diving” and the “Women’s Greatest Diving Achievement” type booths which leaves pretty much only the travel stuff. And Linda at PDM!

I miss the days when manufacturers and some LDS were present. And Stu at the huge Dutch Springs pre-season registration booth. Kinda worthless now.
