What batteries did you get? AFAIK Brinyte doesn't produce/sell batteries. Were they protected or unprotected?

It's the ones that came with the torch, plain blue in color. First symptom I noticed was the battery was used but when placed in their charger, the charger LED was green and it won't charge.

Just came back from a dive trip, and a second battery is doing the same thing (showing green on charger when it was fully discharged). Either the batteries, or the charger is bad.

I was looking to buy the Keeppower 5200mAh batteries, anyone knows where I can get them, and do they ship internationally?

Btw, when the batteries drain out, the light just dies suddenly without any warning (happened on a night dive). I thought I'd lost the torch, but upon recharging the batteries, it came to life again. Subsequent presses on the switch will show nothing at all on the lighthead. FYI.

I think it would be a better design to order the power switching so that low power comes first, then middle, high & turbo (currently it's the reverse). That way perhaps you might still be able to turn it on low power and continue the rest of your dive when the batteries are low.

I have no clue what type of cells you have, but it sounds like they may have a protection circuit which cuts all power when it drops below a certain voltage to protect the cell.

Hello, this is Archer.
Very sorry for our battery trouble during your diving, it's really terrible.

Brinyte diving flashlight has one year warranty time and battery warranty half a year.
Our QC test all products before they leave factory, so it is impossible you received a used battery...

Can you let me know where you bought our lights?

Many thanks your adivse! This is Archer.
We glued every parts except the canister for ensure diving deepth. In pressure test, DIV10 can work under water 200m.
But if don't glue the whole thing, we can't sure DIV10's lifespan.
So in our 1 year warranty time, if diving torch have problem, we usually have to sent new light to customers.

About less light spill, If light's reflector has some changes after diving some days? Or the lens should be blamed?

Before we use the shiny cable, one of our American customer sent a cable sample to us: soft, matt and flexible.
DIV10 would be more perfect if we use that sample cable on it, but we failed.
None factory could copy and produce the cable, we have to use the shiny cable after two month effort....
But we won't cease modify our lights.

Now all our flashlight are rotary switch or magnetich switch, I will talked toggle switch with our e******s.
After all, they all didn't have any diving experience...

A few pointers that could make a "China light" like this, a good light. and yeah i really think it would sell better then also!
- Don't "glue" the whole thing together. Impossible to service with time, and really it's just stupid.. manufacture full service kits (o-rings) for the whole light, and it could live "forever"
- Small changes to the "stock" reflecors would make the light much(!) more usable for us not diving clear waters all year. (Less light spill/ corona)
- The cabel glands you used on this have reported to tear appart the cable with time. (with other brand lights using same gland aswell)
- better cable is a must aswell. Shiny stiff fancy cabel is no good, get a solid one thats not to stiff.
- i would really like to see a toggle switch with protector. Magnetic switch have waaaay to many reports of failing with time.

The design of the lighthead i think is good! Really dont have to be so big since the driver is in the canister. But oh well. Same for canister, its good enough.. buuut yeah it could have a little better battery power/twice the size canister or something. Lenght wise i found it to be ok.

My two cents at least :)

@ Briynte

I want to download certificate from your page of conformation that DIV10 have 3000 lumens ..... so simple question where can I get it and of course test report .... PLEASE

PS : all your standards are only implemented on EMC ( electromagnetic compatibility that mean that your equipment work well with phones , computers EKG ;-)) and than standards that your lights work well with EU electric gird .
BS EN 55015:2006+A2:2009 BS EN 55015:2006+A2:2009 - Limits and methods of measurement of radio disturbance characteristics of electrical lighting and similar equipment

BS EN 61547:2009 BS EN 61547:2009 - Equipment for general lighting purposes. EMC immunity requirements

you dont have any MIL standards for the device that work under water pressure , maybe you have MIL standard for hard anodizing ;-)) ,These standards you get pretty simple because you work out of gird , electronics is shielded by metal enclosure ,.... so just papers that you can sell on EU marketplace .Maybe you can use original CE certificate , but none of these papers tells us nothing about light itself !

I'm very sorry for the least desirable questions , but i have to do that ;-))

Very sorry we never do BSI or MIL certificates for our lights, only CE and RoHs.
Our enigeers get flashlight's data by themselves, use integrating sphere, pressure cylinder and other testing tools.
I have to say it is not accurate, but also won't give false data to customers.

Hi Archer,
Thanks for your response.

Perhaps I was not as clear as I should be, but I did not say I received a used battery.

What I meant was, the battery was used (as in discharged in a previous dive), put into a charger, and the charger LED showed green and doesn't charge it.

I bought the lights direct from Brinyte, my contact person was Susan.

ok ... can we see them and test procedure description ?
