I'd like to go diving this weekend and so far it looks like Saturday has light rain and Sunday will be slightly sunny.

I've been monitoring water temps over the last two weeks and it appears the temps are staying at 53 to 55 degrees.

That's a lot better than the 50 degrees I felt on my last dive at BW.

Let me know if anyone is thinking about going; my dive buddy is out of town and so I was thinking of just doing some training excercises on my own close to shore.

But I'd like to at least get one dive out a bit further.

Thanks,

MG

Just spoke to a good diver that dives almost every weekend and she told me that conditions are looking bad this weekend.

She dove last weekend and it was really nice but the surge from an apparent storm has made it look ugly.

Too bad since I really wanted to get my feet wet this weekend, last weekend before the new year.

If it starts to look decent, let me know and I will be there!

I'll PM you my cell number

I'm novice at interpreting the conditions from Chuck's links, but it looks pretty consistently windy with a pretty big swell from the NW until new years day. But I'd be up for a quicky at the BW if conditions are OK and I can distract my wife enough this weekend. No pun intended.

Randolf,

Only reason I'm going this weekend is I'm taking the wife to the airport at 4am; she's taking a international flight to visit her parents.

So when the cats away, the i3 goes diving.

It appears that it will be more windy on Sunday than Saturday and colder by about 5 degrees.

Even though the weather looks rainy it appears better than Sunday.

I called Glenn at BW and he said visibility was at 20 feet and conditions looked nice.

I got my tanks filled at my LDS so I'm ready, just don't know what day.

ps
Anyone hear about the diver that died today at Monestary beach; Edward Diaz apparantly lost his life while two of his dive partners tried to help him recover. Divers were saying that conditions this weekend are ugly for diving and especially Monestary beach.

Mike if you are going to dive tomorrow you better hit the sack... oh it might be too late for that

give us a report on conditions tomorrow

I'll be there tommorrow. I called Glenn at Aquarias and he said BW is relatively calm and has great visibility.

So, I'm going to take my gear down and check it out, if it looks divable I'll make two small practice dives. If not I'll take pictures and post.
