Lol...

Stainless: Strong, good looking, reasonably unbreakable, and easy to find (Lowe's)... Not to mention affordable. I don't mind paying the extra dollar or two so that my stuff looks good. Call it "expensive" all you want - I only need a couple of them. It's not like the extra $2 per kills me.

I haven't seen bronze at Lowe's... Am I just not looking in the right place?

I found bronze snaps at Lowes. They had a better size selection in bronze than in stainless.
