It's totally possible to have a 100% DIR-compliant gear configuration without anything Halcyon. And some of Halcyon's stuff isn't DIR - like the ACB pockets and the gaitors.

I don't really care if the weight pouches are DIR or not. I like mine.
But a question does leap to mind.
Why are they not DIR?
Just because jabloski<sp? didnt directly mention them in the DIR manual?
Maybe he wrote the manual before Halcyon began manufacturing them.
I seem to remember pics of divers in the manual that had the ABC weight pouches on their kit.

Kinda odd.

Actually the ACBs are specifically outlined in my version of the DIR manual.

I'll have to try to recover my DIR manual. I loaned it out long ago.

I can sure understand why with extra weight of doubles it could be a bad thing to have intigrated weights. As I've discovered that when diving a single with my Pioneer #36 wing with an additional 24# of weight in the ABC , it makes for a heavy, combersome rig while donning it.
