Brand new greetings

Hi, i´m a 30 min. old member, just joined in. I live in Lisbon, Portugal.

I was just surfing the web for info on diving in Punta Cana - Dominican Rep. and I "bumped" into the board.

From what I've seen so far, most of the comments are not very thrilling... well, at the time being I have no choice anymore. I´ll be there in end of July for a family vacation (wife and 2 kids), and I'll have to make the most of it.

I will stay at an Iberostar, so I guess Dressel Divers is the op to dive with. I hope they at least have "two dives in a row" morning packages, as I'll have to spend some time (in the afternoon) with my family.

I was about to go to Mexico (Riviera Maya), but - can you imagine - the flight was not direct and it would take me (and the kids!) 12 to 14 hours to get there. Had to dump it, unfortunately.

I think you are heading to a place not a lot of divers get to - I'd love to see a trip report when you get back telling us what you thought about it.

As for the diving, just take it slow and try to enjoy whatever the ocean shows you on that day - every dive is different...the only bad dive is one where your attitude is negative getting in!
