Brac Airport closed to jet traffic due to fire truck crash

Sounds like they are a day or two from getting things squared away, but be aware if you are flying there that the flight schedules are being shifted from the jet to the Otter and Saab flights.

Ouch, I wonder how that affected SB members showing up for the Surge today.

They apparently shifted them onto Saab and otter flights if they were on the jet. One couple I know got there, but quite a bit later than originally planned.

I wonder about luggage, the jet carries a lot of luggage and supplies between Grand and Brac.

Well, what I had heard was that the weather was such that they were having a hard time docking the barges and had been flying in perishables to supply the resorts also. So that probably also complicates things. Supposedly that is what is holding up bringing the fire truck over fro LC. Although they can fly the Otters at night into the Brac to make up for lost luggage capacity...something they can't do on Little Cayman.
