hi I am assembling my new bp/wing and i have a problem. as the pics show the top screw is good and tight, however when i screw in the bottom screw the bp/wing is loose as the crew is as tight as it will go but wont hold it firm, the top one holds firm because the webbing is there and shortens the gap so its snug, but the bottom one is loose, any ideas?? i could cable tie it maybe?? i dunno , i have zero experience with how this goes, so any help is appreciated and i dont like the wing being loose at the bottom like that
john
ugh now the pics wont upload... so frustrated with this wing today

Inline with BDub's question, I have a few more:

1. what backplate?
2. what wing?
3. Single tank adapter (STA) or STA less?
4. screw/bolt - is this a sex bolt (http://www.diveriteexpress.com/bcs/img/50hw1069.jpg)

Based on description, I'm assuming that you are attaching the wing to your backplate with sex bolts and not using an STA. If this is your set-up, you don't have to worry about the wing not being snug while being held only with the sex bolts. When you cinch the tank on the backplate with your cam bands, the tank will hold the wing firmly in place.

Ditto what ae said/asked. But also, as for zip tying it; yes, that would make it snug, but it would also make it impossible for you to remove the wing from the backplate for easy cleaning, unless you cut the zip tie and redo it every time.

thanks guys i guess im just paranoid about it moving, its a diverite s/s plate, with a recwing, no sta though.,...
a washer might do the trick too or i might not even bother as when the cam bands tighten up it will be fine :)

I'm waiting for my venture wing, ss bp and harness to arrive this week. I'm assuming there will be hardware to attach my wing to my bp with my new gear? Or will I have to find sexbolts or another way to hold the two together aside from using my tank straps? it's my first bp/w so be gentle with your answers...

If you are lacing the cambands through the wing and through the plate (direct mount, no STA)there is actually no need to bolt the wing to the plate. The tank and cambands will hold everything together.

Bolting on the wing helps keep the wing positioned correctly while you tighten up the cambands, but the bolts can create other problems, like tank rock, if they are the "high points" that the tank ultimately rests on.
